"Musical energy isn't just from the crowd I'd have to say you and the band had something to do with it too."

"They (Alcorn Bedner Townsend Trio) really warmed up the restaurant with their superb musicianship. The relationship between Alcorn's baritone bass & Bedner's 7 string created a sound that was incredibly pleasing to the ear. Townsend's solid, but tight, jazzy rhythm accompaniment rounded out the sound.
The trio's take on standards & their re-working of some really unexpected numbers provided an intriguing musical journey. I found myself really listening for all the nuances included in each selection. This is a group that takes you by surprise and holds onto you until the very end."

“Working with the Alcorn Bedner Townsend Trio is an absolute pleasure. The textures and voicings they wring out of the trio format are amazing. Tim and Mark trade the lead and rhythm duties flawlessly while Marilee keeps everything rock steady with her seamless drumming. And yet they still afford the vocalist acres of wiggle room to stretch out and put their own brand on the song. It doesn't get any better than this!"

"Every time I work with the musicians of Alcorn Bedner Townsend the resulting experience confirms for me precisely why they are my first-call trio. Guitarist Tim Bedner provides a rock-solid harmonic foundation and has a wonderful melodic sense. Bassist Mark Alcorn has Jupiter-sized ears and can turn on a dime, and he's got great instincts. Drummer Marilee Townsend is versatile and intuitive, plus she's so dynamic and sensitive that I've never finished a gig with vocal fatigue when she's on the bandstand. And 35+ years of playing music together means that Mark and Marilee know how to lay down an unshakeable groove. I look forward to any gig where I have the pleasure of playing  with them. As a bonus, they possess such warmth, grace, and skill that when they accompany the choir I direct or sit in as a workshop band for a vocal class I'm teaching, the situation is equally productive and positively charged."
